My wife and I had that experience at an Italian Restaurant here in Omaha. I noticed a young man (maybe 30) sitting at a nearby table but not eating. When we asked for our bill, the waitress told us that our bill had already been paid. I need to remember to do that for someone else sometime.

Oh, yeah. I kind of miss those days but I don't think I'd go back (except
maybe to feel young and hot for a day, or maybe two). I have a perspective
now that I didn't have then. I traded youthful optimism for contented
senior time which flows by no matter what I do. Deepak Chopra paraphrased:
be happy with what already have and you'll have peace and richness.

The nostalgia and sentiment wrings my heart.
It is a hopeful sorrow of the past that fills me
And I hope that there is enough time left
For our children's children to grow old enough
To have these kinds of memories.
Thank you Sara.
